We are rethinking our itinerary and going to save the Samana area for our next trip. We will be in a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Does anyone have any thoughts about where we may stay on the 18th? We will be leaving Cabarete mid-morning on the 18th, and need to be in Punta Cana mid-afternoon on the 19th. It would be great to be somewhere we could get in an eary morning swim before leaving the North Coast area.
Thanks so much for any ideas. I'm not sure why your thread is titled Nagua. That won't help you on your way from Cabarete to Punta Cana. This is a 4 - 5 hour drive plus any stops or traffic delays in Sto. The next morning have your swim in the Caribbean Sea and then head off to Punta Cana at a leisurely pace mid-morning.
This will be a 3 - 4 hour drive plus any stops you make. Traffic should not be an issue and you should arrive in lots of time. Thanks Greg! I think we are going to head south as you suggested and find a small place to stay on Sunday night, then take a leisurely drive to PC on Monday. I am already looking forward to our next trip to the DR, because I will be able to visualize so much more after this trip.
