Eleven suspects who allegedly kidnapped Chinese women in Angola to be forced into prostitution were extradited to China on Sunday, the Ministry of Public Security said Wednesday. The promise of paying for the airfare and the visa fees for the victims in advance was another draw. When the victims arrived at Luanda, the suspects took away their passports and told them they would have to earn back the flight and visa costs. If the victims did not have enough to pay back the money, they were forced to work as prostitutes in hotel. After learning of the case from the relatives of the victim, the police put together a team and flew to Angola.
On October 25, Chinese public security authorities with their Angola counterparts shut down the so-called hotel, which was in fact a brothel.
