Ok so the good points - the spa pool is nice, the hotel is in a good location and the beach is well maintained, the staff around the spa pool and in the main restaurant were lovely.
The bad points My boyfriend booked us 7 nights all inclusive to celebrate my 34th birthday costing a significant amount of money, looking at the reviews it looked as though there was the best of both worlds in this hotel - lively if you like that kind of vibe but also somewhere to chill, which looked perfect for us. Upon check in we were told that we had been upgraded to a superior room - the room was standard at best, nothing superior about it and the shower was horrendous, within 30 seconds of turning it on it was completely flooded, so you'd spend the entire duration of your shower kicking the water down the drain!
The quality of food was disappointing, the pasta I ordered was over cooked in parts and under cooked in others, the service was good, staff were very friendly but there's no way on this planet that restaurant is one of the best Italians in Dubai and it's so over priced. Then the best bit Well the answer is nowhere Basically you can have a drink in the Chinese or the Italian at the bar The hosts on the penthouse are horrific - they ought to be shown how to speak to customers with respect instead of talking down to customers "you can't use all inclusive in here, I'll let you have a table for one hour, then you will have to move" Anybody would have thought they owned the hotel.
Aesthetically for the Gram the hotel is impressive however, that's all it is there's no substance at all. Every night for 7 nights we were woken up between 3am and 5am with groups of girls screaming and shouting in the corridor, girls bringing blokes back to their rooms but forgetting which room they were in It was absolutely awful - if I booked a 2 star hotel in san Antonio, I'd expect to be woken up by drunk guests behaving inappropriately however I was allegedly staying in a 5 star luxury hotel in Dubai.

However by then the damage was already done and the holiday was already really disappointing, my point to the manager was - If you can't do All Inclusive well, just don't offer it as an option! We feel well and truly disappointed and ripped off following our holiday but one thing is for sure - we'll never go back to the Five Palm!
