I just got back from Israel yesterday and did a combination of self touring, day trip with relative from Haifa to Rosh Hanikra ,1 day bus tour to Masada, Dead Sea , Ein Gedi from Jerusalem and also went to Eilat for first time by plane from Tel Aviv.
I would take any tour organized by Israel Discovery Tours. Many of the families on our trip had been on IDT tours before and were back again. We considered several different tour groups before selecting IDT, including one conducted by our synagogue and concluded that IDT had the right balance of fun and learning for our twin 13 year olds. We couldn't possibly have imagined how outstanding they would be from the hotels, the site visits, the guides, the Israeli support team, the bus drivers.
